Exclusive: Checkout the international 'Exotic Red Band' trailer for Paolo Sorrentino's drama 'Youth' starring Michael Caine, Rachel Weisz, Harvey Keitel, Paul Dano, Jane Fonda, Madalina Diana Ghenea, Ed Stoppard, and Tom Lipinski.
Michael Caine stars as a retired orchestra conductor vacationing in an Alpine resort when he receives an invitation to perform for Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
Paul Dano portrays a film director also staying at the resort.
Reportedly, Fox Searchlight is near a deal for North American rights to Paolo Sorrentino’s “Youth,” which is in competition at the Cannes Film Festival.

“Fred (Michael Caine) and Mick (Harvey Keitel), two old friends, are on vacation in an elegant hotel at the foot of the Alps. Fred, a composer and conductor, is now retired. Mick, a film director, is still working. They look with curiosity and tenderness on their children’s confused lives, Mick’s enthusiastic young writers, and the other hotel guests. While Mick scrambles to finish the screenplay for what he imagines will be his last important film, Fred has no intention of resuming his musical career. But someone wants at all costs to hear him conduct again.”
Producers on “Youth” are Nicola Giuliano, Francesca Cima and Carlotta Calori. Pathe is handling sales. No theatrical release date yet.
