The first trailer for Paper Towns, the latest movie adaptation of a John Green (The Fault in Our Stars) book, encourages fans to get lost, Thanks to 20th Century Fox.
Starring Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne, the story centers on a high school guy, Quentin, and his seemingly perfect crush, Margo Rose Spiegelman. After the two share an all-night adventure together, Spiegelman disappears, and Quentin becomes convinced that she has left him clues throughout their town to track her down. Cue a road trip, life lessons, and a surprising amount of Walt Whitman references.
The novel originally came out in 2008, before The Fault in Our Stars, but after the worldwide blockbuster success of that film, some of Green's other projects were put into development. In addition to Paper Towns, a Looking For Alaska film is also in the early stages.
Check out the trailer, which features music from Twin Shadow and Mikky Ekko, below.
"'Paper Towns' is very different from 'Fault in Our Stars,' in every possible way," author John Green told USA Today yesterday. "Hollywood is so used to franchises. But this is not a series. It's an unrelated story that's beautiful and funny, and has a big heart."
