Ant-Man is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name: Scott Lang and Hank Pym, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film is intended to be the twelfth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Peyton Reed is set to direct the film written by Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish and Adam McKay, with Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas starring as Lang and Pym, respectively. In Ant-Man, Lang must help defend Dr. Pym's Ant-Man technology and plot a heist with worldwide ramifications.
Marvel Studios reveals 'Ant-Man' Comic-Con poster -- EXCLUSIVE
It's weird to see Paul Rudd looking all noble like that, but the suit is great. And the ant steed is perfect. This is Marvel's teaser poster for the long-awaited Ant-Man movie, released today at Comic-Con, and featured on Entertainment Weekly.
Development of Ant-Man began in April 2006, with the hiring of Wright to direct and co-write with Cornish. By April 2011, Wright and Cornish had completed three drafts of the script and Wright shot test footage for the film in July 2012. Pre-production began in October 2013 after being put on hold so that Wright could complete The World's End. Casting began in December 2013, with the acquisition of Rudd to play Lang. In May 2014, Wright left the project citing creative differences. The following month, Reed was brought in as Wright's replacement and McKay was hired to contribute to the script.
The film is scheduled to be released on July 17, 2015.

"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. 19th August, 2014 marked the beginning of principal photography for Marvel’s latest superhero film, Ant-Man. Today the studio has released the first official movie photo of star Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man taken on location in San Francisco. Check out the photo below!
