    X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST BOXOFFICE - X-MEN KICKSOFF A $36 MILLION START !

Here is the boxoffice report of the latest movie released in the X-Men franchise 'X-Men Days Of Future Past' helmed by Bryan Singer .''

X-Men: DOFP was made on a total budget of around $200 - $220 million.

The movie released this friday and it made about $8.1 million from late Thursday night shows. X-Men: Days of Future Past opened strong on Friday earning over $36 million and it is almostcertain that it will earn more than $100 million throughout the weekend. These boxoffice numbers are huge and impressive and are on par with recent superhero movies like Captain America: The Winter Soldier which grossed $36.9 million and The Amazing Spider-Man 2  which earned $35.2 million. However this $36 million figure was significantly lower than X-Men: The Last Stand's $45.1 million debut on the same day eight years ago.
Still these boxoffice numbers are pretty decent throught the theatres worldwide and the movie itself is received very positively by the critics and the audience.

It is expected to gross really well in the upcoming weeks because of a good kickoff, with an edge of a very little competition as the Adam Sandler's latest project 'Blended' failed to earn well through the weekend which was also released on 23rd May.

    The film stars Hugh Jackman,
James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Ian McKellen & Patrick Stewart

The movie released on Friday 23 May, 2014.

    Plot:

"The X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in a battle in which they must change the past...to save their future."

    Possible Sequel:

In December 2013, Singer announced the upcoming X-Men project maybe titled as X-Men: Apocalypse. The film is scheduled to be released on May 27, 2016 and will act as a sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past.
According to Singer, the film will focus on the origin of the mutants and will take place in the 1980s. McAvoy, Fassbender, Hoult, Lawrence, Jackman and Peters will reprise their roles in the sequel, and maybe the younger versions of Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm will also appear in the next movie. Channing Tatum is reported to be playing the role of Gambit in the next movie.
