Description:

Gunday is an upcoming 2014 Bollywood action film, written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film will feature Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles while Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan appear in supporting roles. The film's story is based on the lives of two small time thieves who later get involved in the coal mafia. The film is slated to be released on 14 February 2014.

While most heroes are focusing on solo hero project as they fear sharing space with their competitors, Ranveer Singh, who will be working with Arjun Kapoor in Yashraj films' Gunday, believes otherwise.

He feels that it won't benefit or harm either of them, but instead it will benefit the film. "For a long time we haven't had two hero films. Young heroes these days are not willing to share screen space. I am okay with it because I know it will benefit the film. You bring a kind of energy and force which is matched by the same energy. People won't love me or Arjun, they will love the pair. Arjun and mine real life chemistry is khatarnaak," he says."

"We are both very talkative. I would give him tips when he was doing Ishaqzaade magar voh toh mera baap nikla because he is grown up in the industry. Both of us know each other before we decided to become actors. We had lot of common friends. Finally our chemistry is going to translate on screen," he further adds.

Ranveer is excited to bag an action film after working on two back to back romantic comedies. "Director Maneesh Sharma had once told me that even as both my first two films are romantic comedies I am actually made for action. He said - 'I am observing you, I know you now and I feel that action is your home territory'. And I am happy to do Gunday which is a dramatic action film," said Ranveer.
