Keanu Reeves Will Return For John Wick 2!

Lionsgate/Summit Entertainment just announced that the biggest surprise action thriller of 2014 'John Wick' now has it's sequel in the making. David Leitch and Chad Stahelski will return as directors and Derek Kolstad will once again write the film.

John Wick stars Reeves as the titular hitman, looking for revenge and redemption.

“With such tremendous fan and critical support for ‘John Wick,’ we knew that there was still so much more of this story to tell,” said Jason Constantine, President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions in a press release. “We are thrilled that Keanu, David and Chad have re-teamed with us and promise to bring audiences even more excitement the second time around.”

John Wick 2 will be released through Lionsgate’s Summit Entertainment and will be produced by Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk, who produced the first film.

No release date yet, but we can look forward to "John Wick 2" for sure now.

Keanu Reeves’ action-thriller 'John Wick' was one of the bigger surprises of the fall when it opened last October, grossing $43 million domestically and another $35 million overseas, based on a $20 million production budget. 

It was well recieved by some critics and also panned by some. However, the audience response for the movie was great!
