Desert Dancer (2015) Exclusive Movie Featurette - Making the Dance

Thanks to CrossDay Productions Ltd. & Head Gear Films, here's a new exclusive featurette from Desert Dancer, the upcoming biography drama thriller movie directed by Richard Raymond and starring Freida Pinto in the lead role. The film also stars Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Cullen and Reece Ritchie.

Plot:
"Desert Dancer is based on an incredible true story. It's a classic hero story about brave young people risking their lives to rebel against their government and fight for their dreams. Set in Iran, where it is currently forbidden to dance, the story follows Afshin Ghaffarian and his friends who despite the dangers form an underground dance company where, via hacking into YouTube, they learn from the very best - Michael Jackson, Pina Bausch, Gene Kelly and Rudolf Nureyev. Reveling in the freedom of expression that dance gives them, they set upon putting on a performance deep in the desert, away from the watchful eyes of the military police."

The film is set to release on 10 April 2015.

Set in Iran, this powerful true story follows the brave ambition of Afshin Ghaffarian. During the volatile climate of the 2009 presidential election, where many cultural freedoms were threatened, Afshin and some friends (including Elaheh, played by Freida Pinto) risk their lives and form an underground dance company.
