Mechanic: Resurrection is an upcoming American action thriller film directed by Dennis Gansel. The film stars Jason Statham, Jessica Alba and Tommy Lee Jones. Lionsgate has dated Jason Statham's "Mechanic: Resurrection" for release on Jan. 22, 2016. It is the sequel to the 2011 Action film The Mechanic.

Shooting started in Bangkok, Thailand on Nov. 4 with Statham reprising his title role as a master assassin who faked his death, in an attempt to walk away from his former profession, in order to lead a peaceful and quiet retirement.
Plot:
"Arthur Bishop returns as the Mechanic in the sequel to the 2011 global hit. When someone from his past forces him back into the business, Bishop has to complete an impossible list of assassinations of the most dangerous men in the world."
