    Salman Khan's "Kick" enters 200 Crore Club - Netts 203 Crore on 11th Day


    Kick is a 2014 upcoming Hindi-language Indian action feature film produced directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, starring Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles. The film is the remake of the 2009 Telugu language film of same name.

    On its opening day, which is non holiday friday the movie collected around INR26.50 crore (US$4.4 million) and makes its second highest non holiday opening grosser of all time behind Dhoom 3. On the second day the movie collected INR27.15 crore (US$4.5 million). The collection on Sunday increased by 15 percent and on the third day, proceeds were 30.18 crore to take its overall total to INR83.83 crore (US$14 million) in 3 days weekend.

     It collected a total of INR83.9 crore (US$14 million) from its opening weekend (first 3 days). In India, it was the highest opening day of 2014 so far. Further on Monday the movie went on to make INR14.41 crore (US$2.4 million). and on Tuesday the movie showed a jump in collection due to Eid and collected a record total amounting to INR28.89 crore (US$4.8 million). On Wednesday the movie collected further INR21.66 crore (US$3.6 million). And on Thursday the movie collected INR15.4 crore (US$2.6 million). Thus making a total collection of INR164.09 crore (US$27 million) nett in India in first weekend and beating the record of Chennai Express, Krrish 3 for the highest first weekend collection in India.

    The film continued its reign at the box-office by making INR9.22 crore (US$1.5 million) on its second Friday, and INR10.62 crore (US$1.8 million) on second saturday making 9 days total to INR187 crore (US$31 million).

    Till Now, Kick has earned 203 cr nett in India in 11 days.

    Pakistan:
    The film was also released in Pakistan. Kick became the highest holiday grosser ever in Pakistan beating the record of Dhoom 3 and collected 20.8 million.

    On the eve of Eid, Kick has become the highest grosser in Pakistan with an estimated earnings of Rs. 200.8 million. Salman Khan starrer Kick is breaking records all over India but not many know that film is creating havoc in Pakistan. Film was lukewarm over the weekend one which was considering Pre Eid period. Film came in full form from Tuesday onwards.

    Film collected only 1.15 cr nett in weekend but jump from Tuesday onwards took film to 6.80 cr nett. Film collected big 1.25 cr on 2nd Friday and now 1.40 cr on 2nd Saturday. Film has total of 9.45 cr in 9 days. Thus Kick is now 2nd highest grosser beating Chennai Express (8.90 cr) and now only 2nd to mammoth 25 cr PKR of Dhoom 3.

    Plot:

    On a train journey in Warsaw, psychiatrist Shaina meets Himanshu, who is a police officer from India to discuss their prospective marriage. Both are reluctant to enter into an arranged union but become friends and strike a deep conversation where Shaina reveals her previous relationship with the eccentric Devi, a man who lived only for his 'Kick' aka an adrenaline rush . Despite his idiosyncrasies they embark on a whirlwind romance, until one day he breaks up with her for a new 'Kick' and walks away never to return. Himanshu in turn regales her with his glorious escapades as an officer but mentions that he has finally met his match, an intelligent thief. What they are both unaware of is that their stories have one thing in common, Devi. He returns to their lives under the pretext of having lost his memory. Behind it all, is a deeper mystery and an uncompromising mission for which Devi is ready to lose his life.
