Happy New Year is an upcoming 2014 Bollywood action comedy-drama film directed by Farah Khan and produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The film has an ensemble cast which includes, Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sarah Jane Dias, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, Sonu Sood and Jackie Shroff. The film will be distributed worldwide by Yash Raj Films.
This will be the third collaboration of Khan with the director; they previously worked on Main Hoon Na (2004) and Om Shanti Om (2007), the latter of which also featured Padukone as the female lead. The tagline of the film indicates that it is a musical heist. The film is scheduled to be released on Diwali, 24 October 2014, in three different languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Shah Rukh Khan will leave no stones unturned to promote his next movie, Happy New Year. Directed by Farah Khan, the film is touted to be a musical extravaganza and a visual treat for the audience.

SRK, who is known to have some unique marketing strategies up his sleeve all the time, has come up with a world tour for this film. The tour, named SLAM! The Tour will have the entire Happy New Year cast including Shah Rukh, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah along with the director Farah Khan and singer Kanika Kapoor (of Baby Doll fame) and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh travelling across the world doing live shows for the audiences. Malaika Arora Khan will be a special guest performer and will also join the crew on the world tour. The tour will start from September 19 in Houston and will continue to New Jersey, Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver and San Jose.

We have heard that Happy New Year will open on five thousand screens worldwide. The film has no competition for two weeks from the day of its release and with that number of screens; you can only imagine the massive dividends the makers will earn. This Diwali the Shah Rukh Khan dhamaka will be definitely bigger!
