Mardaani is an upcoming 2014 Bollywood crime drama film directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films. The film features Rani Mukerji in lead role. Rani will play role of a rough police officer working on a case of girl trafficking in India.

The first week’s glorious journey has made Mardaani to stand proudly with nett. business of estimated INR 23.00 Cr at domestic box office.
MARDAANI was released along with MAD which went out of box office unnoticed. There was nothing so significant in M.A.D which remained under dark time and many of the critics didn’t even rated the film. So for Mardaani first week went very smoothly with many of the states declared film tax free in the theaters. The second week might put slight brake at box office performance, as Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Raja Natwarlal’ is going to share some screens at box office. Next week will be getting big release of Priyanka starrer film ‘Mary Kom’ that has been long awaited film. Interestingly just like Mardaani, Mary Kom too is going to be female centric film.
