The Wedding Ringer is an upcoming romantic comedy film written and directed by Jeremy Garelick. It will star Kevin Hart, Josh Gad and Olivia Thirlby. The film will be produced by Miramax Films and Rainforest Films, distributed by Screen Gems and scheduled to be release January 16, 2015 during the MLK Holiday weekend.

Plot:
"Jimmy (Hart) owns a wedding company and provides best man services for socially awkward guys who don't have anyone close enough to be their best man. Doug (Gad) a groom-to-be, finds himself in that situation, but he also fabricates the names of nine other groomsmen as well. When all else fails, Doug seeks out Jimmy’s help to plan a charade designed to make Doug look his best, but threatens to destroy everything if it doesn't work."
