Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an upcoming 2014 American action film based on the franchise of the same name. A reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film series, the film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman and stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Will Arnett and Whoopi Goldberg. 

The film is to be produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Michael Bay's production company Platinum Dunes, and distributed by Paramount Pictures.

 The film is scheduled to be released on August 8, 2014.

Plot:

"The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’ s diabolical plan."

Paramount pictures have just unveiled 4 new character posters from the movie. The posters were shown to the fans one by one on Twitter. There was a poll going on at the site and the specific character poster from the Ninja Turtles with the most number of fans and votes was unvelied first. Luckily, the first character poster to be unveiled was my personal favourite from childhood 'leonardo' followed by Raphael, Michealangelo and in the last was Donatello. Really enjoyed the promotional strategy of the producers and the posters are also genuinely appealing and amazing.

Leonardo 

#TeamLeonardo wins! The first official character poster was unlocked first on Twitter, getting us that much closer to the eventual debut of the full-length Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer, which promises to bring over two minutes of never-before-seen footage and new character reveals, including our first real look at Splinter (voiced by Tony Shalhoub) and Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) in action. Leonardo is the master of the katanas and is voiced by Johnny Knoxville. He is the defacto leader of the group and the oldest of the four turtle brothers.

Leonardo is the tactician; a courageous leader of the turtles and a devoted student of martial arts. He wears a blue mask and wields two long and razor-sharp katanas that slice through nearly anything solid. As the oldest of the four brothers, he bears the burden of responsibility for his siblings and sensei, which often leads to conflict with Raphael. Leonardo was named after the Italian polymath, painter, engineer, inventor, writer, anatomist, and sculptor, Leonardo da Vinci.

Raphael

Second character poster to appear on Twitter and the official website of the movie was Raphael's.

Raphael is the only one who keeps the red bandana. Raphael wields twin sai as his primary weapon. He is generally the most likely to experience extremes of emotion, and is usually depicted as being aggressive, sullen, maddened, and rebellious. The origin of Raphael's anger is not always fully explored, but in some incarnations appears to stem partly from the realization that they are the only creatures of their kind and ultimately alone.
 He also has a somewhat turbulent relationship with his older brother Leonardo because he is the group's leader. Only Leonardo and Michelangelo's ages are specifically mentioned in relation to the others (Leonardo is the oldest, Michelangelo is the youngest). He is named after the 16th-century Italian painter Raphael.

I just read a tweet  ''Yeah, lets show the best turtle of them all from the back''...i lol'd so hard, maybe a diehard fan of Raphael did'nt wanted his star character to be shown from the back. Anyways, i think he looks freakin amazing from the side pose. What do you think ??
  

Michelangelo

Third one to enter the list was Michelangelo. 

Michelangelo, Mike or Mikey (which they usually call him), is a fictional character and one of the four protagonists of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics and all related media. His mask is typically portrayed as orange and his weapons are dual nunchucks.

More fun-loving than his brothers, Michelangelo often coins most of their catchphrases, such as "Cowabunga!". Like all of the brothers, he is named after a famous Renaissance artist; in this case, he is named after Michelangelo Buonarroti.

Donatello

Donatello also referred as Don or Donnie, is one of the four protagonists of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics and all related media including the upcoming Micheal Bay Movie. He is co-creator Peter Laird's favorite Turtle.

His primary signature weapon is his effective bō staff. In all media, he is depicted as the smartest, quick-witted, and most intelligent of the four turtles. Donnie often speaks in technobabble with a natural aptitude for science and technology. He is named after the Italian sculptor Donatello.
