Kite is an upcoming 2014 American action film written and directed by Ralph Ziman, based on the 1998 anime of the same name by Yasuomi Umetsu. The film stars Samuel L. Jackson, India Eisley, and Callan McAuliffe in lead roles. The film will be distributed by Metro Goldwyn Mayer (Non-U.S.) & The Weinstein Company (Worldwide). It is the first film based on the anime film licensed in the US by Anime Works.
