Transformers: Age of Extinction is an upcoming 2014 American science fiction & action film based on the Transformers toy line. It is the fourth installment of the live-action Transformers film series starring Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor and Kelsey Grammer. The film is a sequel to Transformers: Dark of the Moon, taking place four years after the invasion of Chicago. Like its predecessors, the film will be directed by Michael Bay and executive produced by Steven Spielberg. This is the first film in the series to not have Shia LaBeouf and also the first to feature an entirely new cast with the only returning Transformers revealed so far are Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. The film is set for release on June 27, 2014, in both 2D & 3D formats.Plot:
"A mechanic (Mark Wahlberg) and his daughter (Nicola Peltz) make a discovery that brings down Autobots and Decepticons and a paranoid government official on them. Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs."
