"The Quiet Ones" is an upcoming 2014 British horror film directed by John Pogue and co-written by Craig Rosenberg, Oren Moverman and Tom de Ville. The film stars Jared Harris, Sam Claflin, Olivia Cooke, Erin Richards, Rory Fleck-Byrne and Laurie Calvert. "The Quiet Ones" is slated to release on 25th April, 2014.

Plot:

"Inspired by true events, "The Quiet Ones" tells the story of an unorthodox professor (Jared Harris) who uses controversial methods and leads his best students off the grid to take part in a dangerous experiment: to create a poltergeist. Based on the theory that paranormal activity is caused by negative human energy, the rogue scientists perform a series of tests on a young patient, pushing her to the edge of sanity. As frightening occurrences begin to take place with shocking and gruesome consequences, the group quickly realizes they have triggered a force more terrifying and evil than they ever could have imagined."

Plot # 2:

"A university student (Sam Claflin) and some classmates are recruited to carry out a private experiment — to create a poltergeist. Their subject: an alluring, but dangerously disturbed young woman (Olivia Cooke). Their quest: to explore the dark energy that her damaged psyche might manifest. As the experiment unravels along with their sanity, the rogue PHD students, led by their determined professor (Jared Harris), are soon confronted with a terrifying reality: they have triggered an unspeakable force with a power beyond all explanation."
