Description:

Heartless is an upcoming 2014 Bollywood Romantic/Thriller film directed by Shekhar Suman. The film stars Adhyayan Suman (son of Shekhar Suman, the director), Ariana Ayam, Shekhar Suman, Deepti Naval, Om Puri and Madan Jain. Heartless is set to release on 7th February 2014. It is inspired by the American movie Awake.

The film focus on a medical phenomenon called the "Anesthesia awareness" (a condition where a patient cannot move his body, but can hear and understand all that's happening around him/her. The person can also feel the pain in the body but cannot express it).

Plot:

"Aditya Singh (Adhyayan Suman) is a business tycoon and is in love with a girl named Ria (Ariana Ayam), his mother's personal assistant. Aditya requires a heart transplant and the doctor who is asked to perform the surgery of Aditya is a heart surgeon and also his friend. Aditya and Ria marry privately at midnight, before the surgery and then he goes to the hospital for the operation. While Aditya's new wife and his mother, (Deepti Naval) await completion of his surgery, Aditya encounters anesthesia awareness (a condition where a patient cannot move his body, but can hear and understand all that's happening around him/her. The person can also feel the pain in the body but cannot express it). From there on, begins a new chapter of love, trust, betrayal and sacrifice."

Considering the budget of the movie and just average responses, it did not collected its cost. Heartless made a collection of around 1.30 Crores on First Weekend.

The public responses for the movie were also average. Nothing so good that can help Heartless turn its faith into something else.

Heartless seems to be unnoticeable. It has not been bad timing but instead just hard luck for Heartless. Heartless was released on around 550-600 screens and had a budget of around 5 crores.

Shekhar Suman, who made his acting debut opposite none other than Rekha in Utsav and will soon be making his directorial debut with a romantic thriller Heartless, says that the film is quite close to his heart as it is dedicated to his elder son Aayush, who passed away at the young age of 11 due to a heart ailment.

Talking about the film, Suman said, "In some ways, Heartless has a slice of my heart in it. The film was a huge emotional experience for me to direct and act with my son Adhyayan Suman for the first time. He is a very sensitive and an intense actor."

Explains Shekhar, "The film is based on a phenomenon of 'anaesthesia awareness', a frightening state where in patients who are administered anaesthesia are conscious from within; they can see, hear and even experience pain while their body remains still."

Apart from Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman, Heartless also stars Ariana Ayam, Deepti Naval, Madan Jain and Om Puri in pivotal roles. The film is set to release on 7th February 2014.

Talking about the film, Shekhar says, "Heartless' is an usual love story which is refreshing and a new experience. In a period where Bollywood has nothing new to offer, I believe a film should have something that audience can carry back home when they leave the theatre. This is a film that concentrates on love between a mother and a son. I am sure every son will go home and give his mother a hug after watching the film."

The oiginal hollywood film Awake starring Hayden Christen and Jessica Alba was well recieved by the audience and was also successful at the boxoffice. Lets hope that this ripoff does not dissappoints !!
